Salmon health Benifits

Seven health benefits of salmon
1. Eating salmon is beneficial in the treatment of osteoarthritis and other inflammatory joint conditions. Salmon contains small proteins called bioactive peptides. One in particular, called calcitonin, has been shown to increase, regulate and stabilize collagen synthesis in human osteoarthritic cartilage. This salmon-found protein alsoimproves bone density and strength.
2. Eating salmon makes you smarter and happier. The brain is 60 percent fat and most of that is the omega-3 fatty acid DHA. Thirty percent of the grey matter in the brain is DHA showing how critical it is to brain function and a healthy nervous system. Eating salmon regularly has been shown to reduce the risk and incidence of depression, hostility in young adults and cognitive decline in the elderly.

3. Eating salmon increases your cardiovascular health. As noted, salmon contains high levels of the omega-3 fats, EPA and DHA. These fats are responsible for manycardiovascular benefits such as reducing inflammation, keeping the blood from clotting excessively and relaxing and dilating the arteries. When eaten two to three times per week, salmon can protect you from problems such as heart attack, stroke, arrhythmia, high blood pressure and high triglycerides.
4. Salmon protects your eyes. Eating salmon twice a week has been shown to significantly decrease the risk of macular degeneration — a chronic eye condition that leads to loss of vision. For the treatment and prevention of a condition called dry eye syndrome, eat two to four servings per week.
5. Salmon helps build children’s brains. Eating salmon while pregnant and nursing can boost learning capability and academic performance in children. Salmon contains high levels of DHA (decosahexaenoic acid) which is the main structural fatty acid in the central nervous system and retina. Feeding salmon to preschool children also aids in the prevention of ADHD and can even boost academic performance.
6. Salmon’s an excellent source of vitamin D. Sufficient vitamin D is crucial to maintaining optimal health. A deficiency of this essential vitamin has been linked to an increased risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and type-1 diabetes. One can of salmon, for example, contains a day’s worth of vitamin D.
7. Salmon helps you sleep. Salmon is an excellent source of tryptophan, an all-natural sedative. Studies show that tryptophan increases sleepiness in subjects with mild insomnia and helps to shorten the time it takes to fall asleep.

Do Not to Eat Shrimp why

The following are the top 10 reasons to not eat Shrimps

1. Poop Cocktail

During cleaning, shrimp have their legs torn off and are decapitated and disemboweled. As their bowels are ripped out, poop spills out and often gets all over the shrimp.

2. Extra Skin

Shrimp are bottom dwellers who feed on parasites and skin that they pick off dead animals. This means that every mouthful of scampi you eat comes with digested parasites and dead skin.

3. Juiced Jambalaya

Most of the shrimp consumed comes from places that have no restrictions on traces of illegal contaminants such as dioxins, PCBs, and other banned chemicals or on pumping the shrimp full of hormones and antibiotics!

4. Dolphin-Safe Shrimp?

Trawling is taking a toll on the legions of wild creatures, including dolphins, who make the sea their home. Nets don’t discriminate.

5. Farming Destroys Fish Too

Shrimp farming is fatal to fish! Because it takes up to 3 pounds of wild-caught fish to feed and produce a single pound of farmed shrimp, shrimp farming is causing fish populations to plummet.

6. Slave Labor

Almost all shrimp farms and shrimp processing plants are located in developing countries, where workers are forced to work long hours for minimal pay. Eating meat supports unethical employers!

7. Too Neat to Eat!

With more than 2,500 species of shrimp, scientists are just beginning to scratch the surface of these fascinating animals’ largely unknown behavioral characteristics.

8. Cholesterol Bombs

With a whopping 152 milligrams of cholesterol per 100-gram serving of shrimp (four or five shrimp), just two servings would put you over the daily recommended allowance of 300 milligrams of cholesterol!

9. Bad Karma

Many major world religions, including Judaism, treat shrimp as “dirty meat.” If you’re hell-bent on good karma, better ditch the shrimp.

10. Shrimply Fantastic Faux!

Forget the “reel deal”! More and more sham shrimp are making their way onto restaurant menus. You can also trawl the frozen-food section of your local supermarket or specialty store to find faux shrimp and dozens of other mock meats.

Shrimps Heath Benifits

Some of Health Benifits of Shrimps

1. Fights cancer (Selenium – 57%)
Every 100 g of steamed shrimps can provide the body with an excellent amount of selenium. Lack of selenium in the body has been linked to the incidence of many types of cancer, including prostate. Researchers at the Institute of Food Research (IFR) revealed that a combination of sulforaphane and selenium makes them 13 times more potent in attacking cancer. Sulforaphane-rich foods include broccoli, cabbage and other cruciferous veggies.

2. Keep skin, hair and nails healthy (Protein -42%)
The most expensive shampoo and lotion will be useless to hair and skin without the adequate supply of protein in the body. Protein is a vital part of every living tissue and shrimps are excellent sources of this mineral.
3. Prevents anemia (Vitamin B12 – 25%)
Vitamin B12 supports the production of red blood cells and help prevent pernicious anemia.

4. Boosts energy (Iron – 17%)
Fatigue and weakness may indicate low levels of iron in the body. Iron is an essential nutrient needed for energy and vitality.

5. Builds strong bones (Phosphorous – 14%)
These crustaceans are loaded with phosphorus. Calcium and phosphorus are the two chief nutrients which work closely together to build strong bones and teeth.

6. Helps process fats (Vitamin B3 – 13%)
Niacin helps process fats, carbohydrates and protein and turns it into energy. Shrimps can provide a good amount of this essential vitamin.

7. Fights depression (Omega-3 Fatty Acids – 347 mg)
Just like fish, shrimps can also supply omega-3 fatty acids. Study participants have shown that omega-3’s offer powerful protection against depression and may help improve mood to those who are already suffering from the disorder.

8. Promotes prostate health (Zinc – 10%)
Preliminary studies have shown that zinc slows down prostate cancer cell growth. Eating shrimps will add to the body’s zinc supply which is recommended at 10-15 mg.

9. Keeps thyroid healthy (Copper – 10%)
Shrimps can contribute to thyroid health through its supply of copper. Copper deficiency has been linked to hypothyroidism.

10. Stabilizes blood sugar levels (Magnesium – 8%)
These scrumptious seafoods are also good sources of magnesium, which studies suggest can help prevent the development of type 2 diabetes

Health Benefits of Eggplant

Long prized for its deeply purple, glossy beauty as well as its unique taste and texture, eggplants are now available in markets throughout the year, but they are at their very best from August through October when they are in season.
Eggplants belong to the nightshade family of vegetables, which also includes tomatoes, sweet peppers and potatoes. They grow in a manner much like tomatoes, hanging from the vines of a plant that grows several feet in height. While the different varieties do range slightly in taste and texture, one can generally describe the eggplant as having a pleasantly bitter taste and spongy texture.

 potassium3.4%

 folate3.4%

 vitamin K3.1%

Health Benefits

In addition to featuring a host of vitamins and minerals, eggplant also contains important phytonutrients, many which have antioxidant activity. Phytonutrients contained in eggplant include phenolic compounds, such caffeic and chlorogenic acid, and flavonoids, such as nasunin.

Brain Food

Research on eggplant has focused on an anthocyanin phytonutrient found in eggplant skin called nasunin. Nasunin is a potent antioxidant and free radical scavenger that has been shown to protect cell membranes from damage. In animal studies, nasunin has been found to protect the lipids (fats) in brain cell membranes. Cell membranes are almost entirely composed of lipids and are responsible for protecting the cell from free radicals, letting nutrients in and wastes out, and receiving instructions from messenger molecules that tell the cell which activities it should perform.
Researchers at the US Agricultural Service in Beltsville, Maryland, have found that eggplants are rich sources of phenolic compounds that function as antioxidants. Plants form such compounds to protect themselves against oxidative stress from exposure to the elements, as well as from infection by bacteria and fungi.
The good news concerning eggplant is that the predominant phenolic compound found in all varieties tested is chlorogenic acid, which is one of the most potent free radical scavengers found in plant tissues. Benefits attributed to chlorogenic acid include antimutagenic (anti-cancer), antimicrobial, anti-LDL (bad cholesterol) and antiviral activities.

Compounds

ARS researchers studied seven eggplant cultivars grown commercially in the U.S. and a diverse collection of exotic and wild eggplants from other counties. In addition to chlorogenic acid, they found 13 other phenolic acids present at significantly varying levels in the commercial cultivars, although chlorogenic acid was the predominant phenolic compound in all of them. Black Magic—a commercial eggplant cultivar representative of U.S. market types—was found to have nearly three times the amount of antioxidant phenolics as the other eggplant cultivars that were studied. In addition to their nutritive potential, the phenolic acids in eggplant are responsible for some eggplants' bitter taste and the browing that results when their flesh is cut. An enzyme called polyphenol oxidase triggers a phenolic reaction that produces brown pigments. Scientists have begun work on developing eggplant cultivars with an optimal balance of phenolics to ensure both optimal nutritional value and pleasing taste.

Anthony Hopkins said America has been very generous to me

I was lousy in school. Real screwed-up. A moron. I was antisocial and didn't bother with the other kids. A really bad student. I didn't have any brains. I didn't know what I was doing there. That's why I became an actor.
[Interviewed on Inside the Actors Studio (1994)] I once asked a Jesuit priest what was the best short prayer he knew. He said, "Fuck it,' as in, "Fuck it; it's in God's hands."
The Welsh people have a talent for acting that one does not find in the English. The English lack heart.
[December 1998] To hell with this stupid show business, this ridiculous showbiz, this futile waste of life. I look back and see a desert wasteland. All those years spent in a fake environment. Everything was a fake.
[on becoming a U.S. citizen in 2000] America has been very generous to me, magnanimous really. I thought it would be good to give something back. It was a decision of the heart.
[on his days as an alcoholic, when he was drinking Mexican Spirit tequila] I was really sort of on a prolonged acid trip. I saw things and had peculiar quasi-religious experiences. I thought I was John The Baptist, and I would talk to the sea at Malibu and the sea would talk back to me. It was weird.
[on his most famous character, Dr. Hannibal Lecter] I think he might be a very interesting person to have lunch with, provided that YOU weren't the lunch.
One of the people I got to know years ago, which was a great privilege, was Laurence Olivier. He was like a laser - that was his power. And the only actor I've met since who had that same quality of laser-like determination is Russell Crowe. The first day I started working with him, I thought, "That guy's got it." The best way to describe Russell is, he's like a shark circling round. He was argumentative. He argued with the director all the time. I don't know Russell that well, but I admire him, and you know, whatever he's got to do really. I really like him because he's ballsy, he's got guts, he's macho and all the rest of it. He's going through his bad boy period, but he's basically a nice guy.
I am able to play monsters well. I understand monsters. I understand madmen.
Being a smoker is like being trapped in a complicated maze. It's as if Allen Carr has a plan of the maze. Instantly I was freed from my addiction.
Acting is still enjoyable, but there are no more challenges any more for me. No, none at all. I'm much more interested in painting and composing music these days. I've become what I always wanted to be, a jobbing actor. I'm just detached, I do my thing. I work hard at it, but I don't invest my life in it. As long as they pay me on time and I get a good script with a good director, I have fun. That's all.

CBT programme for weight loss

A typical CBT programme would consist of face-to-face sessions between patient and therapist, made up of 6-18 sessions of around an hour each with a gap of a 1–3 weeks between sessions. This initial programme might be followed by some booster sessions, for instance after one month and three months. CBT has also been found to be effective if patient and therapist type in real time to each other over computer links.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is most closely allied with the scientist–practitioner model in which clinical practice and research is informed by a scientific perspective, clear operationalization of the problem, and an emphasis on measurement, including measuring changes in cognition and behavior and in the attainment of goals. These are often met through "homework" assignments in which the patient and the therapist work together to craft an assignment to complete before the next session. The completion of these assignments – which can be as simple as a person suffering from depression attending some kind of social event – indicates a dedication to treatment compliance and a desire to change. The therapists can then logically gauge the next step of treatment based on how thoroughly the patient completes the assignment. Effective cognitive behavioral therapy is dependent on a therapeutic alliance between the healthcare practitioner and the person seeking assistance. Unlike many other forms of psychotherapy, the patient is very involved in CBT.
For example, an anxious patient may be asked to talk to a stranger as a homework assignment, but if that is too difficult, he or she can work out an easier assignment first. The therapist needs to be flexible and willing to listen to the patient rather than acting as an authority figure.

In 1996 a study found that cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) was more effective for weight reduction if reinforced with hypnosis

The least intrusive weight loss methods, and those most often recommended, are adjustments to eating patterns and increased physical activity, generally in the form of exercise. The World Health Organization recommended that people combine a reduction of processed foods high in saturated fats, sugar and salt and caloric content of the diet with an increase in physical activity.
An increase in fiber intake is also recommended for regulating bowel movements.
Other methods of weight loss include use of drugs and supplements that decrease appetite, block fat absorption, or reduce stomach volume.
Bariatric surgery may be indicated in cases of severe obesity. Two common bariatric surgical procedures are gastric bypass and gastric banding.  Both can be effective at limiting the intake of food energy by reducing the size of the stomach, but as with any surgical procedure both come with their own risks that should be considered in consultation with a physician.
Dietary supplements, though widely used, are not considered a healthy option for weight loss. Many are available, but very few are effective in the long term.
Virtual gastric band uses hypnosis to make the brain think the stomach is smaller than it really is and hence lower the amount of food ingested. This brings as a consequence weight reduction. This method is complemented with psychological treatment for anxiety management and with hypnopedia. Research has been conducted into the use of hypnosis as a weight management alternative. In 1996 a study found that cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) was more effective for weight reduction if reinforced with hypnosis. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ACT, a mindfulness approach to weight loss, has also in the last few years been demonstrating its usefulness.

Nuts Effect of weight losing

Studies typically show that about 10-15 per cent of the calorific value of nuts is not absorbed by the stomach, and passes straight out of the body.
so its now accurate to state that whether someone loses, gains or maintains their weight is simply down to ‘calories in and calories out’. This, clearly, is a gross oversimplification of reality. Also, getting people focused on calories can often cause them to construct their diet that are:
  1. low in calories, but not particularly healthy
  2. don’t really satisfy the appetite very well, causing people to be starving and therefore more likely to go back to their original diet
Nuts are a prime example of why, when considering whether a food is likely to be and weight loss weight gain food, we need to go way beyond the calories it contains. The authors of the review comment: There are claims that energy-dense foods are especially tricky for weight loss and maintenance. Nuts are among the most energy-dense foods consumed, yet the literature consistently documents little impact of their ingestion on body weight. These data suggest that each food must be analyzed logically for its impact on body and weight loss weight gain total diet quality to ensure recommendations about its use is sound and empirically based.

Simple and very effective ways to loss weight

There are so many tips of diet which we read daily, some of those are too hard to deal with i was trying to loss weight, and i tried those different diets which none of them worked for me.

Than one day i set down and started thinking, "why cant i continue just one type of diet?",  "why it is so hard? ". i thought that maybe those kind of diets are just not meant for me, and also some of those diets make me feel so week, i was feeling sleepy all the time, or i was hungry all the time, i even couldnt practice sex with my partner the way i used to which made me stop the diets.

i start doing allot of reading and researches and then finally i figured out the perfect way to loss weight at the same time enjoying what i like to eat.

Here are Few points which i follow for a long term. Note that this is not the type of diet which will make you loss like 6 pounds Daily.

1- I stop eating after 7: 00 pm: i eat whatever i want to at breakfast, i avoid eating allot of bread at launch , when i get back home i eat a small snack around 7:00 pm and that's it i stop eating , if i get so Hungry specially at the starting few weeks i eat Nuts or just yogurts, not salted Nuts feel out your tummy and 90% of them get out of your body, ant they are so tasty .

2- I walk daily for an hour and do small exercises, it doesnt matter if you Run or you walk, you will lose the same amount of calories if you walked 2 miles or if you run it the only different is in time running will save you more time.

3- I avoid eating Potato at all times, In a interesting study of 120,000 healthy, non-overweight women and men taking part in long-term studies of diet regime and health, the members gained an average of 3.3 pounds every four years over a 13-year period. When the experts counted up the foods that contributed most to this weight gainpotatoes topped the list—twice: Read more

4- Avoid eating too much junk food, i eat Junk food cause i like it but i keep it as once a week.

5- Do things that you like to do which will also help you in losing weight, for example i love having sex with my partner, we try new positions and keep things exiting between us, you will loss with in 30 minutes of having sex the equivalent or more calories than if you run for 30 minutes.

In the end after about 1 year of keeping this simple and easy diet and lifestyle i lost around 40 pounds with in this year.
